Sports safe uk beats all growth expectations, with invaluable support from Colchester MP Sir Bob Russell

The positive work being done by Colchester MP Sir Bob Russell to support the development of Colchester based business Sportsafe UK has seen the Essex Company go from strength to strength. Sportsafe sells, installs and services sports equipment.

The vital support from Sir Bob helped to secure funding which has been instrumental to securing over 60 County and Council contracts servicing over 10,000 schools across the UK for the next five years.

Sportsafe, with its headquarters based in Colchester, will be turning the tables in 2012 with a new manufacturing plant in planning. This new plant will help boost the local economy and will be a welcome arrival for residents who have found themselves out of work during difficult times. Seeing a growth of 10% during 2011, the company have their sights set on an even better 2012 by developing a new apprentice scheme bringing vital jobs to the local town. Jonathan Neill said “We pledge to create two Apprenticeship positions during the summer as well as creating eight permanent positions”
Mr Jonathan Neill, Managing Director, said: “2011 had been a fantastic year, seeing great business confidence, significant growth and many new long term contracts.

“This has all resulted from the vital support given by Sir Bob Russell. He saw the potential for Sportsafe to expand locally and assisted in retaining and creating new positions. Without his help and support we would have not achieved what we did during 2011.

“ We feel Colchester is extremely lucky to have such a strong Member of Parliament and one who is prepared to go the extra mile for the people and companies of Colchester.”

Sir Bob said: “I am committed to helping local businesses and fully support the economic potential of Colchester. When I first met Sportsafe I was extremely impressed with what we they had achieved and saw the potential growth of the business which would lead to more vital jobs for the town. With the right support and hard work and determination of Sportsafe and their employees they have achieved growth in a difficult climate.”

Here at Sportsafe as we are pleased to have won the Leeds council contract for the 4th year running, servicing over 400 sites, meaning we are now looking for more qualified engineers both local and in other parts of the UK. Sportsafe are delighted to now be members of the illustrious Sports Facilities Group (SFG).

SFG is a group of companies brought together by a governing body for sport and backed by England Netball, England Basketball and the Badminton Association of England. We are proud to be the company exclusively delivering the installation and maintenance of sports equipment in sports halls on behalf of the SFG and also into Ball Halls such as Newbury College, ACS International School, Egham, Esher High School, Regent College, Leicester, Queen Alexandra College, Solihull and Philips High School, Bury.
